In recent years, the topic of conspiracy theories has became one of the most urgent ones. The Covid19 pandemic gave us a golden age of conspiracy theories. In 2020 we could have observed how dangerous conspiracy theories can be, both politically (e.g. influence over the US elections) and socially. Anti-vaxxers and science denialists have moved openly in influential circles and became a threat to the public health and public safety. 

During the event experts, authors of the publication “Beyond Flat Earth. Conspiracy Theories v European Liberals” will discuss on how liberal democracy can protect itself in times when political debates are not any longer fact-based instead rest ever more on passion and convictions.
