The Association “Institute for Liberal Studies” was created by a group of high ranking liberals, such as Ministers, Members of Parliament and even the Prime-Minister, in order to promote liberal values in Romanian society.
The Institute organizes public debates and conferences on actual topics. At the same time, it organizes seminars on liberalism and the EU Institutions throughout the country.
In the future, the Institute aims to develop its library of basic texts on liberalism and even to publish its own studies and books.
The Institute of Liberal Studies is a founding member of ELF and is closely cooperating with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom and VVD International/Haya van Someren Stichting.
In 2007, the Institute for Liberal Studies was declared Association of public utility.
